When you're riding the Ténéré 700, you are riding a legend. It's built tough. From the new adjustable suspension to the carefully considered riding position and electronic aids you can switch off when required, it's a motorcycle capable of taking on any terrain you throw at it. Lighter than the competition and with an engine tuned for torque, this go-everywhere, do-anything motorcycle embodies the very spirit of life on two-wheels and the sense of adventure within us all.
Chase the Next Horizon
The Ténéré 700 is powered by Yamaha's award-winning 690cc CP2 engine, tuned and geared specifically for this model. Now equipped with the YCC-T electronic throttle, the 2025 Ténéré 700 introduces a suite of features to adapt the riding experience for all conditions including two ride modes, Sport and Explorer, giving you the possibility to choose the best power and torque characteristics to meet your riding needs. ABS and TCS can also be turned off to give you total control, which is particularly useful on unpaved surfaces. No other adventure bike delivers such a holistic balance of power and control; a rally-bred machine designed to take on whatever is thrown at it.
Ténéré 700's latest tough steel chassis is robust, enhanced and designed to offer a controlled and engaging ride in a wide variety of environments. Adjustable tall suspension and large spoked wheels contribute to high ground clearance and a commanding riding position, which comes to the fore on and off road, whether you choose a standing or seating position. The striking lightweight bodywork has been designed to protect you from the worst of the elements, while a comprehensive 6.3" TFT dashboard provides all the vital information you need at a glance.
Latest EU5+ 690cc four-stroke CP2 engine
Updated in the latest Ténéré 700, the critically acclaimed CP2 engine benefits from the adoption of the YCC-T electronic throttle, which facilitates a host of new features and an improved torque curve. A new air intake and a smoother gearshift are among the updates, while externally a new clutch cover gives you more legroom in both the seated and standing position.
New rally-bred headlight and body design
New headlight and body design pays homage to Yamaha's rallying heritage. The silhouette is classic Ténéré, being high and vertical at the front, while low and light at the rear. Each panel has been carefully designed to keep weight to a minimum, while the iconic quad LED headlamp is also redesigned to offer a fresh and aggressive look, while offering improved illumination when riding at night.
Slim and compact body, with flat seat and redesigned fuel tank
The Ténéré 700 has been carefully updated to offer even better agility when riding off road. The new fuel tank has been moved forward and the fuel cap sits lower for improved weight distribution, while the shape is narrower to offer improved knee grip for maximum control on all kinds of surfaces. This is complemented by a new flat rally style seat which is narrow and makes it easy to shift your weight around.
Double cradle tubular steel frame.
Well proven in Yamaha's rally raid programme, the tough double cradle tubular steel frame combines strength with light weight. The combination of a short wheelbase and narrow gait makes for an agile motorcycle with plenty of space for you to move around, while the tall suspension gives 240mm of ground clearance for tackling tough terrain.
Upgraded long-travel suspension
Giving the Ténéré 700 its tall stance and 240mm ground clearance is high quality, long travel suspension. The 43mm flex-resistant front forks are now fully adjustable, gaining a new preload adjuster for 2025. The rear benefits from an updated fully-adjustable rear shock absorber with a piggyback reservoir, designed to work in perfect harmony with the front suspension and enhance performance in even the most gruelling conditions.
Electronic throttle and ride modes
The YCC-T facilitates two ride modes, giving you the opportunity to choose the throttle map that best suits your riding style. Sport gives the sharpest throttle response, while Explorer delivers a smoother power delivery.
Switchable ABS and TCS at the press of a button
Giving you the ultimate control when riding off road, both the ABS and traction control can be fully switched off at the press of a button. The ABS has three settings, which can be selected through a dedicated button placed in the cockpit or using the new switchgear via the TFT dashboard menu. As well as fully on and fully off, ABS can be disabled only on the rear wheel, allowing you to utilize the rear brake and throttle to steer on loose surfaces, while still enjoying the benefits of ABS at the front.
6.3-inch colour TFT with connectivity and navigation
The large 6.3'' colour TFT display emphasizes the Ténéré 700's premium design and has two distinct theme options, allowing you to focus on the information in a way that best suits your riding, while smartphone connectivity unlocks a host of features including the integration of phone calls, music and turn-by-turn navigation through the MyRide app. A USB-C charging port is also standard equipment.
21-inch/18-inch spoke wheels.
Just like Yamaha's factory rally race bikes, the Ténéré 700 is equipped with a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, combining low weight with immense strength and outstanding shock resistance. For high levels of traction and durability on the dirt and street, these spoked aluminium wheels are fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.
Off-road focused components
Details matter on the 2025 Ténéré 700. As the most rugged adventure bike you can buy, components have been upgraded to improve usability off-road without compromising performance on the asphalt. Larger footpegs and one-piece rally style seat aid rider control on loose surfaces, while a revised side stand switch, rugged handguards and engine guard give additional protection when faced with the inevitable knocks and bumps.
New intuitive switchgear
Ergonomically designed for easy operation and now featuring a five-direction joystick, new switchgear cubes offer more functionality than those found on the previous generation Ténéré 700, making scrolling through the many functions easy and intuitive. The turn signals have also been upgraded, with new features added to the left hand switchgear: three-flash signaling or continuous indicators with auto-cancelling.
Factory lowered version available
Ténéré 700 comes with a more accessible lower seat height version, available straight from the factory. With 20mm less suspension travel front and rear, as well as a shortened kick stand, this version has a 860mm seat height and retains a commanding seating position, while opening up the Ténéré experience for those who prefer a lower seat height.
